The Four Seasons Hotel Firenze was built within a historic complex of extraordinary significance, where we find Renaissance buildings, loggias, age-old frescoed halls and the Gherardesca Garden, one of the city’s most picturesque parks.
Intervening here means facing a unique cultural stratification, where every decision taken has to be interconnected with centuries of history. EXA.Group’s painstaking work on the finishes and custom-made elements integrates new standards of comfort to enhance the memory of the places. The spaces involved – rooms, common areas and service areas – demand specific processes, craftsmanship and a special sensitivity in coordinating materials, colours and atmospheres. What results is a measured balance, an experience that celebrates the architectural heritage of the building while projecting it into the present with naturalness.
