Among the most significant wine cellars in Europe, the cellars of the Hôtel de Paris have preserved an exceptional enological collection for over 150 years. Their opening to the public introduces a new way of experiencing this heritage, extending its cultural and experiential value. The project by Bruno Moinard and Claire Bétaille of Moinard Bétaille, with lighting design by Voyon Voir, does not simply aim to create a functional cellar, but to shape an intimate, almost ritual space: a transition from the outside world into an environment defined by silence, subdued light and material depth.

EXA Group contributes with bespoke solutions, invisible details and carefully crafted interventions that respect the original character of the space while enhancing its texture and atmosphere.
The intervention includes the creation of new public areas within the historic cellars: an entrance vestibule and reception hall, a tasting room inspired by the Mole Antonelliana, two climate-controlled wine conservation rooms, the Marie-Blanc Room with a vaulted ceiling clad with over 2,500 bottles, an immersive room featuring projection experiences, and a dining and tasting room designed to host up to 30 guests.
